Think of a lesson as a journey; if you don't know where you want to end up, how will you get there? The aim is where you want to end up; it concerns what you want your students to be able to to do at the end of the lesson that they couldn't do at the beginning. A successful lesson is all about setting realistic aims that meet the students' needs and achieving them!
